Counselors are chosen for their accomplishments in the policy community and past responsibilities in the public and private sectors. Many of them also serve on the Board of Trustees, including Zbigniew Brzezinski and Brent Scowcroft (pictured at left).

The CSIS Counselors provide intellectual guidance to the Center. They are individuals who have dedicated their lives to helping solve complex and multifaceted global problems.
