“Iraq Refugees May Be Undercounted”

In an article for Reuters, David Morgan reports that the number of Iraq refugees is actually much higher than experts originally estimated.

Geez. 4.2 million. A bit

Geez. 4.2 million. A bit of quick checking puts estimates of Iraq's population at around 27 million, so that'd me 15% of the country has become refugees. Although according to the article, at least the extra 2 million are probably not as bad off as their registered counterparts:

"It doesn't change the fact that they were forced from their homes. But are they the most vulnerable? No. Probably the 2.25 million who have been assessed or registered are the most vulnerable of the displaced," Ladek said.
