Faith and U.S. Foreign Assistance

The fall issue of Faith and International Affairs, published by the council on Faith and International Affairs, has a wealth of articles that relate to our work on religion (see last year's PCR report Mixed Blessings). Most pertinently, former USAID Administrator J. Brady Anderson has a piece on religion and U.S. foreign assistance policy, arguing among other things that the U.S. tradition of separation between church and state causes problems when we interact with cultures that have no such distinction.
