Iraqi Civilian Casualties
Still unsure how many Iraqi civilians have died since the fighting began in 2003? So are we, but here's a new report out from the Congressional Research Service that compiles some of the most often cited estimates. With numbers anywhere from 30,000 through almost 800,000, not sure we'll ever know what the human cost of all this has been.

I'm glad you brought the
I'm glad you brought the issue up though. Any number in that range should bring up the question of whether the casualties are worth it given how disporportionate they are to any alleged threat from Iraq, or the next public enemy in the axis of Evil. For any family anywhere, even one death is enough. But what happened to the Anglo-American tradition of the Caroline standard, the one that says that pre-emptive attacks should be a porportionate and necessary response to imminent threats of attack?
