McChrystal in the Pakistani Press

An editorial titled McChrystal and India, published in the Pakistani newspaper Dawn News today, takes note of General McChrystal's comments in his recent report, discussing the increasing Indian influence in Afghanistan and warning that this influence was encouraging Pakistan to similarly interfere in the region. The article says that if the U.S. takes into account Pakistan's grievances in this regard, it will "hopefully have a salutary effect on relations between the US and Pakistan, relations which have in part been hostage to Pakistan’s long-standing suspicions of the US being a fair-weather friend."
