More NATO in Afghanistan | Economic Reconstruction

From CSIS Burke Chair holder Anthony Cordesman: There has been a striking lack of meaningful official reporting on Afghanistan. This NATO report is an exception. It provides an objective picture of the problems, progress, and how far we have to go, and is the only official report I have seen that does not try to spin the situation into successes where much still needs to be done. It is also rather embarrassing in that the NATO Parliamentarians have done a far better and more honest job than any public report by NATO, the UN, or  government -- including our own. A key read for anyone analyzing or reporting on the situation in the country, and a warning of what the new Presidency will really have to deal with.
