Overcoming Extremism Featured Speaker | Mr. Ammar Abdulhamid

It's October and we all know what that means: the long-awaited arrival of the Overcoming Extremism Conference! To celebrate and for your viewing pleasure, we feature Mr. Ammar Abdulhamid, President, Tharwa Foundation. As head of the Tharwa Foundation he supports the processes of modernization and democratization in the broader Middle East & North Africa region by improving inter-communal relations. Abdulhamid is also a Washington-based member of a Syrian umbrella opposition group, aimed at promoting democracy in Syria, known as the National Salvation Front (NSF). Expect a passionate, intelligent first-hand perspective from Mr. Abdulhamid with his keen awareness of the need for peace to triumph terror. He'll be joining us on day 1 of the conference (Monday, October 22) on the panel The Changing Media Landscape.
