PCR Project Op-ed in The Daily Times

Ranging from teleconferences with Pakistani political and civil society leaders to de-briefs by experts on Pakistan, our aim has been to form new constructive relationships between the U.S. and Pakistan. We learned very useful information from our events (and we hope others did as well), but one of the best ways to reach the Pakistani people is through their newspapers - today, PCR Project Research Consultant Mehlaqa Samdani and PCR Project Co-Directors Rick Barton and Karin von Hippel have an op-ed on “Dealing with Extremism“ in the Daily Times, a Pakistani newspaper. We hope you will read the op-ed and consider some of the points we believe are critical to combating the consistent violence Pakistanis are facing. Blogger Hassan Abbas already posted the op-ed on his website, Watandost, and we hope those that find it useful will pass it along as well.
