FATA is divided into seven agencies and six frontier regions (FR):[4]
· Agencies: Khyber, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Orakzai, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan
· Frontier regions: FR Peshawar, FR Kohat, FR Tank, FR Banuu, FR Lakki and FR Dera Ismail Khan
