A Third Way for Gangs in Venezuela

In accordance with some of the lessons we learned during research for the report Engaging Youth to Build Safer Communities, a segment from today's NPR Morning Edition discusses how a hacienda owner in Venezuela is offering work and job training opportunities instead of prison time for members of local gangs. Reintegrating conflict-affected youth into society is tricky business, but innovative alternatives like those offered by Alberto Vollmer at his sugar plantation offer some hope.
