Whole of Community Conference Report & Video | 3D Security Initiative

3D Security Initiative just released a report and video from a conference held in late October on Building Whole of Community Conflict Prevention. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of State, USAID, and USIP met with over 150 civil society experts on Capitol Hill to discuss ways to address issues of conflict prevention. Whole of community conflict prevention requires interagency cooperation based on the 3D model of development, diplomacy, and defense, while also promoting local and international civil society organizations. Civil society networks are a powerful resource for early warning, peacebuilding, and reconciliation that can work with government agencies to achieve common objectives.
