Addressing Kenya's Top Challenges: Justice and Reform

May 12, 2010 • 8:30 – 10:00 pm EDT

Two years after a violent election crisis and the establishment of a government of national unity, Kenya faces important benchmarks in reforming its political system and ensuring peaceful elections in 2012. This summer Kenyans will vote in a historic national referendum for a new constitution, and this week the International Criminal Court will begin investigations on the key instigators of the 2008 violence. Minister for Justice & Constitutional Affairs Mutula Kilonzo will reflect on these challenges and on the prospects for progress in the year ahead.
