A Discussion with Minister Barmak

H.E. Wais Ahmad Barmak
, Afghan Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development
Robert D. Lamb, Director for Crisis, Conflict, and Cooperation, CSIS

Afghanistan has made a great deal of progress in its rural development, much of it driven by Afghanistan's Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD). But many challenges remain and some experts have questioned whether the progress to date is sustainable. Can the transition succeed without rural development? Please join His Excellency Wais Ahmad Barmak, the newly appointed Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, for a discussion of these important issues.
Limited space available. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided. Please RSVP to kmixon@csis.org
