Please join us for a panel discussion on the changing role of bilateral donors in the shifting international development landscape. As foreign direct investment in emerging markets increases, official foreign assistance levels remain uncertain, and as new development actors emerge, bilateral agencies are exploring new forms of cooperation to maximize their development impact while maintaining current resource levels. New strategies include enhanced cooperation with international and local private sectors, building innovative partnerships with emerging actors, and a heightened focus on measurable impact.

Panelists will explore these new partnerships and discuss their agencies' approaches to technical assistance, supporting private investment, and engagement with emerging donors, including China and Brazil.

This event is part of CSIS’s ongoing “Chevron Forum on Development” series, which seeks to highlight the private sector's role in global development.

Please RSVP to ChevronForum@csis.org.
