California Farmer and Former California Secretary of Agriculture

Please join us for a discussion with Mr. Kawamura, a leading voice in U.S. agriculture. He will discuss his experience as a successful commercial farmer in the U.S., his time as Secretary of Agriculture for the state of California, and his thoughts on emerging trends in domestic and international agriculture.

Mr. A.G. Kawamura served as California's Secretary of Agriculture from 2003 to 2010. He is a third generation fruit and vegetable grower and shipper from Orange County. Mr. Kawamura is also the co-chair of Solutions from the Land, a UN Foundation funded project that is developing a sustainable roadmap for 21st century agricultural systems.
