CSIS Complexity Project – Phase II Organizing for a Complex World: The Way Ahead

The CSIS Complexity project's first phase which led to the publication of “Organizing for a Complex World: Developing Tomorrow’s Defense and Net-Centric Systems.” Phase II is proposing and assessing ways to measure success in complex program management and ways for organizations to adapt to changes in the internal and external program environments.

David Berteau, Director, CSIS Defense Industrial Initiatives Group, gave a presentation and discussed the “For Comment Draft” version of the forthcoming DIIG paper “Organizing for a Complex World: The Way Ahead.” Several commenters presented their views. Dennis Muilenburg, President, Global Services & Support, Boeing Company, presented an industry perspective on meeting the complexity challenge in defense programs.
