Cyber Leaders: A Discussion with the Honorable Eric Rosenbach

The Center for Strategic & International Studies invites you to join us for the inaugural speaker of the Event Series: Cyber Leaders – A Discussion with the Honorable Eric Rosenbach, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security.

Cyber Leaders intends to provide a public platform for policymakers and leaders in the field to provide their views on progress, challenges, and policies for cybersecurity.

Assistant Secretary Rosenbach has served in a number of capacities related to cybersecurity within the Department of Defense, U.S. government and private sector. Most recently he served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy where he supported DoD leadership by formulating, recommending, integrating, and implementing policies and strategies to improve DoD’s ability to operate in cyberspace.

Assistant Secretary Rosenbach has also led the global cybersecurity practice at Good Harbor Consulting; worked as the Executive Director of the Belfer Center for International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School; served as national security advisor for Senator Chuck Hagel and professional staff member on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI); and worked as the Chief Security Officer for the largest pan-European internet service provider. He additionally served for several years as an Army intelligence officer.

Assistant Secretary Rosenbach holds a J.D. from Georgetown University, a Masters of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.A. from Davidson College.
