Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor I. Shuvalov outlined how Russia has dealt with the global financial crisis at an event hosted by the Russian Embassy in Washington, DC, in coordination with the Peterson Institute for International Economics and the Center for Strategic and International Studies, September 21, 2009. Following his speech, Bergsten and CSIS Russian expert Andrew Kuchins posed questions, facilitating discussion on the state of the Russian economy, Russia's WTO accession, and Russia's role in the global recovering and the upcoming G-20 summit in Pittsburgh.
