    The South Asia program hosted a discussion with Mangala Moonesinghe, a veteran Sri Lankan politician and diplomat, on the prospect of peacemaking in Sri Lanka in light of the recent government victory over the Tamil Tigers. To provide perspective for the discussion, Mr. Moonesinghe explained his recent efforts to bring together all of the country's political parties in a discreet forum of representatives to address conflict-related problems affecting ordinary people around the island.
