The CSIS Biotechnology Initiative held a discussion session on the implications of an avian influenza pandemic for human well-being and global economic and financial systems. Speakers considered potential scenarios and associated impact on the U.S. and global economies and on market and financial stability, including asset class vulnerabilities, leverage and stock opportunities across sectors and regions.
