The End of Power: From boardrooms to battlefields and churches to states, why being in charge isn't what it used to be

October 31, 2013 • 2:00 – 4:00 pm EDT

The Transnational Threats Project cordially invites you to a conversation with Moisés Naím on: "The End of Power: From boardrooms to battlefields and churches to states, why being in charge isn't what it used to be"

Best-selling author Moisés Naím argues that power is shifting: from West to East and North to South, from presidential palaces to public squares, from once formidable corporate behemoths to nimble startups and, slowly but surely, from men to women. But power is not merely shifting and dispersing. It is also decaying. Those in power today are more constrained in what they can do with it and more at risk of losing it than ever before.

In a discussion with Transnational Threats Project Co-Director Tom Sanderson, Naím will discuss how these shifting power dynamics enable transnational actors and shape security challenges for the United States and the world.

Registration for this event is closed.  There will be a live webcast of the event from this page at the time of the event to accomodate those who can't attend.  If you have any questions, please email us at TNT@CSIS.org
