Fighting Extreme Poverty: The Challenge for Our Generation

  • Hilary Benn, MP and UK Secretary of State for International Development, discussed the outcomes and future of UK and U.S. poverty alleviation initiatives and commitments made one year after Gleneagles. Benn discussed the importance of improving security, fighting corruption, improving governance, tackling HIV/AIDS, and raising standards in health and education.
