An Update from the IFC

Ms. Laura Mecagni, Head of the Global Agriculture Food Security Program's private sector window at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), discussed major successes, challenges, and future plans on GAFSP. The GAFSP oversees the coordination and implementation of the pledges made in the 2009 G-20 meeting to combat food insecurity and malnutrition. The IFC has leveraged significant resources to catalyze innovative partnerships and financing mechanisms for agriculture to support the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program.
