GSI Forum: Vince Tidwell and Howard Passell, Sandia National Laboratories "Innovative Methods for Water Planning and Conflict Ma

Vince Tidwell and Howard Passell of Sandia National Laboratories shared their innovative modeling approach to stakeholder solutions in the area of water management.  The model Tidwell and Passell shared is a product of the extensive work in systems modeling ongoing at Sandia.  The demonstration given considered water management models for the Rio Grande river basin.  This approach is currently being applied to the Tigris and Euphrates basins in the Middle East, as well as to important shared water resources in Central Asia.
