    The Indian economy has begun showing potential signs of a return to the 8-9% growth it was enjoying before the financial crisis. As the global economy works to slowly recover from the crisis, Dr. Virmani will discuss India’s role in the revival of the international finance system and its strategic implications. Dr. Virmani formerly served as the Senior Economic Advisor at the Indian Ministry of Finance before becoming the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund.
