  • CSIS hosted an event with the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Gary Roughead, USN. Admiral Roughead discussed the following subjects:

    • Organizational changes within the Navy to meet the challenges of the information age - the consolidation of the Director, Naval Intelligence (N2), the DCNO for Communications Networks (N6), and other information capabilities into a single organization.
    • The Navy's plans to establish the Fleet Cyber Command, as the Navy component to U.S. Cyber Command.
    • The Navy's commitment to ensuring information superiority is provided to the warfighter, by delivering a holistic approach to how the Navy plans, resources, and assesses capabilities
