    CSIS hosted the sixth in a series of Military Strategy Forum (MSF) events focusing on the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR). The sixth event in the MSF QDR series was held on Monday June, 1st. Our distinguished speaker, General James Mattis, Commander U.S. Joint Forces Command, provided opening remarks on irregular warfare, hybrid threats, and the future role of ground forces and was followed by an expert panel discussion moderated by Mr. Nate Freier (CSIS), featuring Mr. Steve Coll (New America Foundation), Lieutenant General Frank Kearney (SOCOM), and Ms. Celeste Ward (RAND Corporation).
