On June 25, CSIS and the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) cosponsored a conference on "IT Leadership in a Security-Focused World." The conference examined technology trends and challenges for homeland security. Keynote addresses were delivered by Bill Gates, chairman and chief software architect at Microsoft, and Nick Donofrio, senior vice president for technology and manufacturing at IBM. Featured speakers included: Bill Boni, Motorola; Frank Koester, Eastman Kodak; Bill Mutell, Hewlett-Packard; Tom Richey, Microsoft; Paul Kurtz, Homeland Security Council; Frank DeFina, Panasonic; Lynn Hedegard, NCR; Kevin Kettler, Dell; Whit Diffie, Sun Microsystems; Dave Carey, Oracle; Greg Akers, Cisco Systems; and Robert Liscouski, Department of Homeland Security.
