Launch of Women in International Security (WIIS) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS)

January 18 – 19, 2012

Women In International Security (WIIS) has recently joined the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) as an affiliated program. With more than 7,000 members in 47 countries, WIIS remains the only global network actively advancing women's leadership, at all stages of their careers, in international peace and security. The new partnership with CSIS will enable both organizations to work together towards the goal of women's full participation as leaders in international peace and security through research, leadership development, mentoring and networking.

The event will feature Michèle Flournoy from the U.S. Department of Defense, and Wendy Sherman from the U.S. Department of State in a conversation moderated by Nina Easton, Washington Bureau Chief for Fortune Magazine, discussing women's contributions to U.S. foreign and defense policy.

Please note that due to space constraints for the event, this invitation is not transferable.
