    At the session, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, Nigerian minister of foreign affairs, and Chief Ufot Ekaette, minister of Niger Delta affairs, discussed their government’s efforts to resolve conflict in the Niger Delta and promote greater development in the region. Stephen Davis, canon emeritus at Coventry Cathedral and the author of a new report entitled, “An Opportunity for Peace in the Niger Delta,” presented his recommendations on moving forward a negotiated settlement.
