Washington DC, 20006On September 16, the Energy and National Security Program hosted Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki, Senior Associate, Energy and National Security Program, CSIS, Senior Fellow, East-West Center, Chairman, FACTS Global Energy. The discussion focused on the key issue of attention for policymakers in the East and West, including the outlook for global oil and gas markets after the Great Recession, prospects for demand and production and the implications for prices. Dr. Fesharaki also shared his insights on the key policy imperatives for China, and his views about what is really happening in the Iranian oil and gas industry. Dr. Fesharaki concluded by linking these key players together and drawing conclusions as to what are the policy implications for the United States.
