Though it appears that Paraguay will regain full membership to Mercosur in August, holding the organization's presidency during the first half of 2014,  their return follows a one-year suspension from the bloc.  In addition, a growing chorus of Paraguayans believes membership in Mercosur has hindered Paraguay's ability to develop deeper global trade relations, particularly with Asia.  To discuss the status of Paraguay and Mercosur, the Americas Program is pleased to welcome His Excellency Fernando Pfannl Caballero, the ambassador of Paraguay to the United States.  Join us for this timely and informative discussion.
