The final conference of the 2013-2014 PONI Series will be held on March 25 at United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM), Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska.

The one-day conference will feature five panels of presentations from young nuclear experts covering topics such as the nuclear triad and modernization, deterrence in the twenty-first century, arms control and verification, regional nuclear dynamics, and nonproliferation and nuclear security.  These presentations have been selected from among the best of the 2013-2014 Conference Series.

The conference will also include breakfast, lunch, and an evening reception and dinner as well as keynote addresses from prominent experts in the nuclear field. The final agenda is now available. Conference presentations and keynote speeches are off-the-record.

Registration for the conference has closed. Please email PONI Program Coordinator Sarah Weiner with questions.

The PONI Conference Series, now in its tenth year, offers an opportunity for rising experts in the field to present findings from their research in order to advance the broader discussion on nuclear weapons issues. It also seeks to provide a venue for interaction among individuals from different sectors and for mid-career and senior members of the community to mentor their junior counterparts. This year’s series featured conferences at Northrop Grumman’s facilities at Hill AFB, Utah; Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, New Mexico; and the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC.
