PONI Meeting of the Next Generation

August 27-28, Ankara, Turkey

This international dialogue, sponsored by PONI in partnership with Turkish think tank TEPAV (Türkiye Ekonomi Politikaları Araştırma Vakfı), will provide the opportunity for next generation experts  (about 6-8 from the U.S. and Turkey respectively) to meet and exchange ideas about nuclear weapons issues facing the two countries, including Iranian nuclearization, the evolution of NATO, and missile defense technologies. The meeting will include a visit to the Turkish Foreign Ministry and guest speakers from TEPAV and the Foreign Ministry as well. See the attached tentative agenda for more details.

To apply to participate in this dialogue, please email Stephanie Spies at SSpies@csis.org with a recent resume and a brief description of your interest and background in nuclear issues, particularly those related to Turkey or those that will be discussed at this meeting. PONI will cover the costs of travel for all those who are selected to participate. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 3, 2012.
