Post Heiligendamm G8 Summit: Outcomes for Global Health

  • At the recent G8 Summit in Heiligendamm, Germany, global health - specifically the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis - was an important item on the agenda.  The discussion between Daniel Sullivan, Johannes Haindl and Jennifer Kates, moderated by J. Stephen Morrison, highlighted the accomplisments of the 2007 summit, the progress the G8 has made on achieving its Millennium Development Goals on Global Health, and what to expect from the G8, particularly Germany and the US, at the 2008 summit in Hokkaido, Japan.
