Private Sector-Led Partnerships

Join us for Careers in Development with Simon Lowes. Mr. Lowes will speak about his experience in using private sector-led partnerships to support business operations and foster economic growth.

He will share first-hand accounts of the impact of social investment and private sector partnerships. Mr. Lowes will also offer advice to young professionals who may be considering work in private sector-led development. Mr. Lowes currently works on the development and implementation of a series of social investment partnership initiatives that are supporting Chevron’s international business units. Prior to this position, Mr. Lowes was Manager of Chevron’s Global Social Performance team focusing on the deployment of Chevron’s stakeholder engagement, social investment and social risk management processes.

Previously, Mr. Lowes directed the development of the Angola Partnership Initiative, a project initiated to support the peace accord in Angola through developing a series of partnerships and alliances focused on human capacity building and economic growth. He has an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University in England.
