The CSIS Energy and National Security Program hosted a discussion on the Paris Agreement reached at the 21st Conference of Parties meeting under the UN Framework Convention for Climate Change (COP21). To help us understand what the new climate agreement means for future U.S. and international efforts to combat climate change, Paul Bodnar, Senior Director for Energy and Climate Change with the National Security Council at the White House, will discuss what the agreement entails and what actions the U.S. government and the international community are likely to focus on in the coming years. Richard Duke, Deputy Director with the Office of Energy and Climate Change at the White House, will discuss the impact on domestic energy and climate policy. Sarah Ladislaw, Director and Senior Fellow with the CSIS Energy and National Security Program, will moderate the discussion.
