Paying a Price

Please join the CSIS Freeman Chair in China Studies for the release of our latest report, “Taiwan's Marginalized Role in International Security: Paying a Price.” Taiwan's ambiguous sovereignty status has led to its exclusion from the vast majority of international organizations. This marginalization has left a critical void not only in the security of Taiwan's 23 million people, but also in the security of the global community. Despite possessing both the means and the desire to serve as a responsible stakeholder, Taiwan can neither benefit from most international security bodies nor share its considerable reservoir of knowledge and expertise for the common good. Join us for a discussion with Congressman Salmon and Representative Shen as we explore Taiwan's role in international security.
