Dr. Sherwood-Randall discussed the President's priorities for the May 20-21 NATO Chicago Summit and provided a progress report on the implementation of Alliance initiatives since the 2010 Lisbon Summit.

Prior to her service at the White House, Dr. Sherwood-Randall worked on American national security challenges at the Council on Foreign Relations and at Stanford University. She also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia in the Clinton administration and previously as Chief Foreign Affairs and Defense Policy Advisor to then Senator Joe Biden. Dr. Sherwood-Randall received her B.A. from Harvard College and a D.Phil. in International Relations from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.
