Congressman Mac Thornberry (R-TX) delivered an address at CSIS on U.S. space-based military capabilities. Speaking to over 100 representatives from the private and public sectors, Congressman Thornberry spoke on the steps that the government's space program needs to take in order to keep pace with increasing commercial and military demands. His speech was followed by two panels of experts, one of which focused on the findings of the Rumsfeld Commission one year later and the other on how U.S. civil commercial space activity can contribute to U.S. economic and technological competitiveness.Topics
