Swine Flu (H1N1): Are we better prepared today for pandemics?

    The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Global Health Policy Center hosted a roundtable discussion on the unfolding swine flu (H1N1) outbreak.  Speakers explored whether recently expanded investments in infrastructure and partnerships have improved U.S. and global capacities to detect and respond to public health emergencies.  Presenters also spoke to the current and projected impacts of this outbreak on health, migration, economic growth and trade.
