Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the Philippines in November of 2013, was the strongest typhoon to ever make landfall in recorded history, and one of the most severe natural disasters that the humanitarian relief community has faced. The Government of the Philippines, in partnership with local and international civil society organizations, and private sector donors, moved swiftly to aid the thousands of communities that were decimated in the storm's aftermath. Months later, Typhoon Haiyan's impacts continue to reverberate as Filipino communities work to rebuild and recover. Join us for a panel discussion with key players in the response efforts to discuss lessons learned from Typhoon Haiyan relief as well as the future of disaster preparedness, response, and resilience.
