The CSIS Task Force on HIV/AIDS, as part of its ongoing work on U.S. policy toward the HIV/AIDS epidemic in India, organized a workshop on April 26 to assess U.S.-Indian cooperation. The subsequent reportdraws from that workshop and extensive discussions with U.S. and Indian representatives involved in HIV/AIDS work, from the various government agencies in both India and the United States, private universities, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), foundations, businesses, and Indian-American organizations. The report examines how the United States and India have worked together in meeting the HIV/AIDS challenge.
