USTDA and Egypt: Opportunities from the Arab Spring

USTDA will host a two-day conference at the end of June, entitled "Egypt: Forward – Partnering for Trade and Economic Growth," which encourages enhanced trade and sustainable economic development in Egypt.  In conjunction with this event, Carl Kress, USTDA Regional Director for the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, will be at CSIS to discuss USTDA's future role in Egypt, as well as  the motivation and timing behind the conference. Hisham Fahmy will address the current business climate in Egypt, particularly the pressing challenges that have arisen from recent political and social changes in North Africa and the Middle East.  Further description of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s involvement in Egypt and the selection of delegates will be provided by Tarek Nabhan.
