Peterson's Running on Empty: How the Democratic and Republican Parties Are Bankrupting Our Future and What Americans Can Do About It. The other sponsors were the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, the Concord Coalition, the Institute for International Economics, and the New America Foundation. In addition to Peterson, the event featured former Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin, CNBC Washington Bureau Chief, and Wall Street Journal columnist Alan Murray.
