Anton Edmunds is the head of The Edmunds Group International, LLC (TEG), an advisory services firm that focuses on the Caribbean Basin region. He has worked throughout the hemisphere for over 20 years, leading a variety of initiatives related to regional competitiveness, maritime security, renewable energy policy, trade, financial services, corporate social responsibility, and tourism. Prior to launching TEG, he was executive director and CEO of Caribbean Central American Action (CCAA), a nongovernmental organization that promotes private-sector-led economic development in the Caribbean and Central America. Prior to joining CCAA in 1999, he was a business consultant in the Caribbean, and from 1995 to 1997, he was based in New York as senior manager of business development for his native St. Lucia. From 1990 to 1995, he was with Eastern Caribbean Investment Promotion Service (ECIPS), a business development organization, where he developed and managed investment promotion campaigns for government and private-sector clients.
Mr. Edmunds is a member of various associations, including the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, the Caribbean Tourism Organization, the Caribbean Shipping Association, and the Latin American Caribbean Council on Renewable Energy. He has been a guest lecturer at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs of Syracuse University and is a contributor to a variety of publications including the Inter-American Dialogue’s Latin American Advisor. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Catholic University of America and a master’s degree from the American University.
