Evan D. Wolff
  • Evan D. Wolff, a partner at Hunton & Williams LLP, serves as director of the firm's homeland security practice. His work focuses on homeland security, including chemical security regulatory compliance, SAFETY Act, corporate internal investigations, corporate compliance and governance, congressional investigations, cyber security, and environmental audits and compliance. He has significant experience in the area of infrastructure protection and a broad background in homeland security, environmental regulation and compliance, and national security. He also advises companies on computer network and security issues and coordinating investigations after intrusions and data breaches. Mr. Wolff joined Hunton & Williams after serving as an adviser to the senior leadership at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other government agencies. At DHS, he served as a special assistant to the assistant secretary for infrastructure protection. From 2003 to 2007, he held the position of principal homeland security policy analyst/project manager to the MITRE Corporation.

    Mr. Wolff’s background also includes roles as general counsel and senior geospatial analyst for ISciences LLC; vice president and principal of Environmental Protection International; and senior geologist at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. In 2011, Mr. Wolff was invited to serve as a member of the Aspen Institute's Homeland Security Group. He has also served on the Sandia National Lab Homeland Security Advisory Board, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce National Security Task Force, as a panel member on the Defense Science Board at the U.S. Department of Defense, and as technology vice chair of the American Bar Association's Committee on Homeland Security. He is currently an adjunct professor at George Mason University School of Law.
