Karen Meacham is director of educational outreach and dean of the Abshire-Inamori Leadership Academy at CSIS, where she designs and implements the Center’s executive education, leadership, and training activities. She also directs the CSIS Seven Revolutions Project, an ongoing research effort to identify and analyze global strategic trends looking out to 2030.
Previously, Ms. Meacham helped stand up the CSIS Global Health Policy Center, where she served as deputy director for two years, highlighting the intersection between health, foreign policy, and security. Before joining CSIS, she served at senior levels in municipal government, on Capitol Hill, and as an agriculture volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps. She holds an M.P.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. in geography from Vassar College.
