Last week, the Department of Homeland Security released the second Quadrennial Homeland Security Review (QHSR). The Department of Homeland Security states that its 2014 QHSR Report provides a strong strategic guidance and analytic foundation for the Department’s unity of effort initiative by outlining clear, risk-informed priorities over the next four years that will drive operational planning, analysis of resource and capability options, and sound acquisition decisions. The CSIS Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Program has an on-the-record conversation about the QHSR and the future of homeland security. This session features Alan Cohn, DHS’s Assistant Secretary for Strategy, Planning, Analysis & Risk, followed by a panel exploring the review’s key focus areas.
