Increasing violence and instability at the hands of extremist group Boko Haram has exacerbated tensions between religious communities in Nigeria and created a critical moment of opportunity for the country to define itself. It is amid this backdrop that the Open Society Initiative for West Africa facilitated the Interfaith Action for Peace (IFAP), a coalition that serves as a platform for dialogue between Christians and Muslims. Please join the CSIS Africa Program as we host representatives from IFAP to discuss the role of religious communities in quelling distrust and encouraging government action.
